At the beginning of this year, South West Water undertook major works in the Sand Park by Tregony bridge, They successfully installed a very large underground tank to contain storm surges and minimise discharges of untreated materials into the Fal. The works were completed in April and new tarmac was laid to finish off the project. Overall, we feel that SWW did a very good job.

The parish council decided to replace the ageing bench and picnic table in the park and local residents may have noticed the smart new picnic table installed there recently. It is constructed from recycled waste plastic materials similar to that used on some of the new benches that have been installed on Fore Street over the last year or so. We are hoping that these will be hard wearing and long lasting.
