Parish Council Statement

May 15th 2025
Tregony with Cuby Parish Council is committed to ensuring that the needs and interests of all residents of the parish are represented and protected at all times.
Part of the council’s responsibility, on behalf of the village, is to ensure that public areas are well maintained and protected for the use and enjoyment of all. Recently, the upkeep of the sports field in the village has fallen short of the agreed standards previously committed to. The council has attempted to resolve this matter constructively, so far without success.
We are surprised that events 3 months and 6 months into the future respectively have been seemingly cancelled due to an un-mown sports field. It is regrettable that this matter has been made public without direct dialogue and that events that do so much for the community have been cancelled without consulting with the other organisations that are also involved in putting them on and without attempts to find appropriate solutions.
The Parish Council remains open for direct communication in order to resolve this matter amicably and in the meantime will attempt to find alternative solutions to enable planned events mentioned to go ahead without disruption.

All questions and comments can be directed to the council via email – clerk@tregonywithcubyparishcouncil.gov.uk
