Following the recent resignation of a parish councillor, a formal notice of the vacancy was published advising that an election would be held if at least 10 electors requested one. No request has been made. Therefore, the parish council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
At the meeting of Tregony with Cuby Parish Council on 8 November, the process to be followed for co-option was agreed and has now been published. Anyone interested in joining the parish council should complete the forms and return them to the parish clerk by 1 December 2021. Candidates will be considered at a pre-meeting before the next parish council meeting on 13 December 2021 and the successful candidate will be co-opted at the main meeting on that day.
