As many local residents will have already discovered, the main road from Tregony to St Austell, the B3287, is closed for emergency road works a mile or so outside the village. The notice published by Cornwall Council Highways says that the road could be closed for up to two weeks until 8 December. Motorists will have to take a long diversion through Grampound. The 51 bus will also be diverted along that route.

As of this morning, on Wednesday 13 December, a single lane is open past the site controlled by temporary traffic lights.
